The Union will have a diverse range of interest based societies from sports clubs to study and debating societies. The Union may also run its services such as bookshops, cafeterias and printing facilities for students.

Term Dates
The Academic year is divided into two semesters of 20 weeks, divided by a short winter break of two weeks and a long summer break (term) of 10 weeks. The start and end dates of each semester may vary from year to year. For the 2004/5 academic year, the Time Table is as follows:
