University of Burao

Students will be encouraged to join the University’s Student Union, an independent organisation run by students for students. The aim of the union is to:

1. Provide a forum for students to discuss matters of concern to them
2. Provide advice and guidance to fellow students
3. Organise social, cultural, sports and educational activities
4. Represent the interest of the students to the University
5. Provide a channel for the students to participate in the development of the university

The Union will have a diverse range of interest based societies from sports clubs to study and debating societies. The Union may also run its services such as bookshops, cafeterias and printing facilities for students. It will have a regular newsletter, covering all issues of interest and concern to students.
