Online Distance E-learning (ODEL) 

The UNDP funded Online Distance E-learning (ODEL) program is operational .ODEL program offer distance learning in Various professional subjects which is part of the curriculum of the African Virtual University (AVU). the first in its kind in africa , is supported by the World Bank and the African development Bank, to make E-learning a Successful medium in Africa, It Cooperates with reputable Universities in Europe and North America. The students who graduate from the ODEL program shall receive  their certificates, diplomas and degrees from these Universities. the courses include:

•  IT
• Journalism
• Veterinary and Medicine (Coming soon).
• English 

The university also is keen to offer  a wide range of degree and non-degree on-line courses in business, finance, engineering, health, science as well as social subjects. The purpose is to take full advantage of advances in information technology in order to access world wide educational resources. This overcomes physical barriers to education, and presents the aspiring student with enormous possibilities in the depth and breadth of knowledge available to him or her without ever leaving home.
