In order to study and preserve national
plant and animal species, the university will set up a herbarium
where plant specimens will be collected, classified, studied and
preserved. It will also create a seed bank (gene bank) and a botanical
garden for conservation, research and public education. This will
be supplemented by the establishment of ecological reserves, selected
to present the eco-systems of the country. Each reserve will big
enough to support the plants, animals and birds typical of its
ecology. They will be national parks protected from grazing and
human exploitation.
